Welcome to the Hokoyo website!
We play high-energy marimba music from Zimbabwe.Hokoyo is a youth marimba band from the Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center. We have been playing under the name Hokoyo since 2005, and as the Kutsinhira Youth Ensemble since 1999. We are currently directed by Gary Spalter. Our past teachers have included Maggie Donahue and Wanda Walker.
