Kutsinhira’s Almost Annual Yard Sale

Thanks to all who contributed such high quality goods. This year’s sale is shaping up so well, we’ve decided to hold it both Saturday and Sunday.

All proceeds go to Kutsinhira to offer classes, conduct the residency program, and send humanitarian assistance to Zimbabwe.

kutsinhira... to follow one who has cut a path, tilled the soil, put forth a musical phrase. In Zimbabwean musical tradition, a melodic line that responds to the lead line of an mbira song.

Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center...a community of people in and near Eugene, Oregon, responding to the rich musical tradition of the people of Zimbabwe by creating a center for teaching and performing Zimbabwean music.

Check out current marimba classes offered at the center, special events, great links to Zimbabwean music and culture web sites, and upcoming gigs where you can dance to this intensely joyful and energetic music.

Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the music and people of Zimbabwe. For information about Kutsinhira's governance and history go to About Kutsinhira.

Kutsinhira offers classes in Zimbabwean marimba and mbira, and organizes lessons and workshops with visiting Zimbabwean master musicians.
